Aerotek Structures Mechanic in Everett, Washington

Description:

Aerotek's customer is the largest commercial aircraft MRO in the Northwest, performing heavy maintenance on 737s for multiple airline customers.

Heavy maintenance/C-checks on 737s, as well as unscheduled maintenance - damage repair, corrosion repair, repairs to comply with new 8100s, engineering changes from the OEM, etc. Technicians will consult task orders and drawings, diagnose repairs and evaluate tooling, materials, drill out and replace hi-loks and other blind fasteners,, trim away metal material, use die grinders and DA sanders, sometimes working in sanding room with respirator. No painting. Will use drills, bucking bars, rivet guns, socket wrenches, hi-lok pliers, and other tools. All remove and replace of fasteners and parts, no fabrication, with high precision particularly when drilling out fasteners to prevent overlarge holes. First week will be orientation, safety training, etc; then commencing regular schedule in the hangar and shop areas.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

4+ years of heavy maintenance Structures experience in an MRO environment Must have minimum hand tools (socket set, hi-lok pliers, socket set, bucking bars)

Required tools: Basic hand tools, hi-lok pliers Preferred tools: Drill, die grinder, rivet gun, ball peen hammer, blue dent hammer Blind fastener tools provided
