Your assignments:

As a Philips Graduate Development Program Data Design Trainee,you will work on 2 different assignments of 12 months each. For this rotation, you will be located in our High Tech Campus in Eindhoven. This way you will be able to gain exposure across different Design teams.

In this program you will learn to combine Design and Data & AI skills, to design Data & AI solutions that have a real impact on staff and patient experience. This includes developing easy yet meaningful ways of interacting with data through visual analytics, redesigning how people interact and collaborate with AI through our efforts on human-AI collaboration, designing customer-centric data collection experiences to improve data quality and designing how insight experiences truly integrate into workflows and care pathways. To achieve this, you collaborate with designers and non-designers.

During this 2 year program you will have the opportunity to learn and support :

  • Explore, design, and articulate data strategies that provide meaningful insights into user experience, focusing on high quality data that meaningfully captures experiences.

  • Innovate in visual analytics to offer healthcare professionals tools for easy interpretation of complex data and support informed (clinical) decision-making.

  • Engage with clinical staff to integrate visual analytics into their workflows, enhancing daily practice with seamless data use.

  • Design AI-driven solutions to automate and improve decision-making for patients and healthcare providers, incorporating AI use cases in their everyday workflows or care pathways.

You are expected in the Eindhoven office around 4-5x per week.

As a GDP trainee you will receive 2.5 years, full time employment contract with excellent labor conditions.

You're the right fit if:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s or HBO degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Data Science, or related field.

  • Knowledge of user-centered design principles and methodologies.

  • Prototyping skills and experience building (web) apps.

  • Experience in data analysis and visualization tools such as Python, R, Tableau, or Power BI.

  • Experience with prototyping tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, or Figma.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Recruitment process

If you are interested in joining the Philips Graduate Development Program, please apply online, by uploading your CV and/or motivation letter.

  • Within 2 weeks after your application, you will be informed whether you passed the pre-selection round and if yes you will be invited to perform a gamified test and video interview.

  • You will be informed whether you belong to the best performers and if yes you will be invited for the final assessment center, which will take place mid/end June 2024 . During this event, you will work on several challenging exercises together with similar minded graduates. This is the final step in the selection process. In the same week, we will inform you of the outcome.

  • Start date will be 1st September 2024.
