Description

Robert Half in search of a Staff Accountant to join a Manufacturing team located in Clackamas, Oregon. The role involves performing a variety of accounting duties, including processing payroll, reviewing timesheets, and handling accounts payable issues. The position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct month-end close procedures, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded

• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger

• Carry out account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and consistency of data

• Assist with payroll processing tasks, adhering to company policies and regulations

• Address more complex or high priority issues related to accounts payable

• Run weekly check runs to ensure timely and accurate payments

• Utilize software tools such as Paychecks and SAP for various accounting functions

Requirements

• Must have proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations is required

• Should be able to handle tasks related to the General Ledger

• Must have experience in preparing Journal Entries

• Experience in managing Month End Close procedures

• Prior experience in handling Payroll is required

• Should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Must have strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required

• Must have the ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Should have strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data.
