Job Purpose: Installs roofs by laying-out project; gathering materials; preparing and installing roofs; completing tests and inspection; following safety and code requirements; maintaining equipment and tools. Duties: *Timely arrival at shop and be prepared to work for the day. *Entry-level will need to load tools and materials as directed by crew lead. *Will be responsible to learn and retain the skill-set necessary to become a journeyman roofer. * Maintains equipment and tools by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs. * Maintains safe and legal work project by following safety procedures, hazardous material restrictions, and building codes; using personal protective equipment and clothing; following proper procedures for using ladders. * Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities. * Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
